The Cock and Bottle #2

The Cockney Pride

This is a fine example of a public house called cock - found when taking a quiet stroll down the promenade at Clacton in Essex - a good cocking colleague should always have a camera at the ready - you never know when the chance to capture a cock will crop up.

The Game Cock

The Old Cock

Sexy super sexiest cocktail bars

Entries from Southsea, East Mersea, Dunoon, Ipswich, Glasgow, Hartley Whitney in Hampshire, Heathrow airport, Keighley, London, Ambleside, The Old Orleans in Birmingham, Sevenoaks and Colchester. The possibilities for capturing this particular type of cock must be almost limitless in these times of lengthened licensing hours.

The Cock Inn

Near Fort Halstead in Kent - didn't pop in for a pint because it was closed. Among the best of the pubs called cock entries - simple and straight to the point.

The Cock Horse Inn

This was somewhere near Sevenoaks in Kent and they had gone to great lengths to carry on the cock related theme inside the pub - hence the statue of a proud cock on the windowsill. They do a bloody great steak and ale pudding as well. And the beer was good.

The Cock and Bull

Congratulations to new cocking colleague Sean for getting this one to us - a top drawer "pub called cock" and always a favourite with our community of browsers. Don't know where it is though or whether the beer is any good.Updated on good authority - the beer is awful and so is the pub.

The Fighting Cock

A far better effort this time from the Bradford pub guide again - but a steward's enquiry may be in the offing if this continues - I don't think a picture of an advert in a magazine is an adequate substitute for a picture of the actual pub itself. Standards have to be maintained you know old boy. Remember, the world is watching! And if it really is Britain's premier ale house as the advert claims, then the world needs to know.....

The Cask and Cockerel (allegedly)

The Cask and Cockerel (allegedly)

From the Bradford Pub Guide - apparently this says the cask and cockerel - from what I can see it might say just about anything - I think a visit to the alleged establishment for a bevvie or two is required to prove that it does exist. 3/10 must try harder.

Jennings Cocker Hoop

And here's an alternative beer pump for this wonderful concocktion - this time from Ian B; our man of the moment!

Ale called cock - I'm guessing this is from a pub somewhere in the West Country but the proper cock capture details haven't been provided as yet. Hopefully the cocking colleague who submitted this will be forthcoming soon and our friends in the west can pay this fine establsihment a visit for a small sample.
